Pasukan Sarawak masih mahu membuktikan mereka bukanlah sebuah pasukan belasahan apabila berjaya mengekang pasukan Selangor 0-0 di Std Nasional Bukit Jalil malam tadi.
Pasukan Sarawak yang turun tanpa tonggak import dari Cameroon, Guy Bwele dan Kalle Sone nyata menyerlah dengan beberapa siri serangan yang hampir saja menghasilkan jaringan.
Barisan utama Sarawak yang diketuai oleh Mohd Hairol Mokhtar nyata tidak gentar dengan barisan handalan Selangor yang rata-rata dibarisi pemain kebangsaan termasuk ketua pasukan Harimau Malaya, Shafiq Rahim yang turut melakukan beberapa percubaan bahaya yang berjaya digagalkan oleh barisan pertahanan Sarawak.
Pujian harus diberikan kepada pemain pertahanan Sarawak terutama sekali pemain berjersi 13, Dzuladzlan Ibrahim yang berjaya mencuri tumpuan dengan berjaya mengagalkan percubaan bahaya pihak lawan.
Kekurangan utama pasukan Sarawak adalah ketumpulan jentera serangan yang agak ketara. Sarawak gagal menmanfaatkan beberapa peluang terbaik menghasilkan gol. Walaubagaimanapun, gandingan hadapan pasukan sudahpun menampakkan keserasian dan berkemampuan menjadi jentera serangan yang digeruni lawan.
Lawan Sarawak selanjutnya adalah pasukan Negeri Sembilan yang bakal bertandang ke Stadium Negeri 28 Januari ini nanti. Belum dapat dipastikan samada akan ada perubahan pada barisan pemain Sarawak, terutama sekali nasib pemain import Kalle Sone yang masih dibelenggu masalah kecederaan.
